My story? Just like most of us, I have a good few of them…. Though in general I often choose the roads less traveled.
Believe it or not, I’m actually what’s referred to as highly educated. I received my Master’s in Public Health at University of Southern California (USC) after I received my Bachelor’s of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. All whilst working with the thoroughbred racehorses.
In other words worked really hard to get my degrees. Was it worth it?
I admit that I had a ton of fun doing it. Learnt a lot about life and myself. Yet my esteemed education wasn’t what lead me to where I am today.
Point I want to make is that things are not always what they seem. Actually they rarely are…
See, as many other I got caught up in the whole manifestation, visualization, meditation etc etc. All that was intended to ‘create my dream life.’
None of it ever did.
But I bought into the story. Just do this fill-in-the-blank. Only pay for one more course. This is it, this is the one that will change everything.
Until one day….none of it no longer made any sense.
How did I end up here? What on earth is going on?
I’ll tell you more exactly what happened. But standing in the middle of the emergency room with my son close to not making it… This is what brought me to my knees. And when I had nothing else, I finally pick up that book. The oldest one in history.
It changed everything.
Not overnight.
But slowly as I was reading every day, piece started to fall into places. Not in an easy way. In a dignified way.
I finally accepted Christ Jesus as my savior. And with that came that peace I was searching for all along.
Until further notice, I’ll share some of it on this site. I won’t be preaching, but will write more about how I went from lifelong atheist to being saved. And how that’s important to you.
